Chapter 2: Trapped

Chapter Text

Elizabeth wanders through the empty building, the night fills the room with an uneasy chill. Shadow dance along the walls, the once bustling restaurant now nothing but a cold shadow. Elizabeth steps carefully through the shadows as she makes her way to a door, it reads “Security Office.” Pushing the door open reveals a small room with a few monitors set up, a red light blinking from the desk in the middle of the room. Elizabeth steps towards it seeing it’s from some thick tablet, its screen displaying a warning. “Building in lock down.” Elizabeth taps the plastic screen causing it to display more information, “Manual shut off required, head to backstage.” Elizabeth lets out a breath she didn’t realize she was holding. With the tablet in hand she heads back out of the office.
The sound of metal creaking is faintly whispered through the air, Elizabeth hugs the tablet closer to her as she walks more quietly. Each step feels like an echo in the dead silence of the building. When she finally nears the door a bang rings out causing her to jump.

ELIZABETH: Fritz, is that you again?

But nothing responds, Elizabeth lets out a sigh and turns around. Bonnie the bunny is standing in front of her. Bonnie is covered in purple fur, and has on a black and red varsity jacket overtop of a white wifebeater, his oversized jeans hanging to the floor. Bonnie’s eyes an unusually glowing green stare into Elizabeth’s similarly colored ones.. He swipes at her, attempting to grab her, but she ducks out of the way. She runs as fast as she can, her legs stumbling under her as she tries to find somewhere to hide. Rushing into the kitchen she gets down onto the ground, hiding behind the island in the middle of the room. The pots clink together causing Elizabeth’s spine to tense, she looks at the tablet once more. It reads “Reset all animatronics.” It shows a diagram alongside it, telling her to flash the robots in the eyes with a bright light.

    CHICA: Hello there!

The bright yellow chicken, feathers done up into a high ponytail, and her pink crop top and skinny jeans clinging tightly to her form leans over her. She speaks in that overly cheering fake teenage girl voice of hers, staring with those same unusual green eyes. She reaches for Elizabeth, her many pink bracelets rattling with her movements. Elizabeth stumbles back, looking for anything around her for anything to flash the robot with. She doesn’t find anything so decides her best bet is to try and flee, there has to be something somewhere to help her. Chica scrambles to grab her, but Elizabeth bolts to her feet and rushes for the door.
Exiting the room Elizabeth finds Bonnie and Freddy wandering around the building, their eyes lighting up the area, filling the space with a piercing green light. Elizabeth crawls behind the prize counter in front of Kitchen. She can just barely keep an eye on them though the glass of the counter as she slides across the floor trying her best to stay hidden. The ground is sticky and uncomfortable, but she pushes through, eyeing around at anything she can spot, lucky for her she sees a flashlight hanging under the cash register. She sneaks over and pulls it off checking to see if it works. Luckily it does, but the light catches Freddy’s attention who climbs over the counter attempting to grab her vest. Light brown fur covers his chubby small body, a black long sleeve shirt covered by a massively oversized red and blue tee. His blue shorts and backwards red and blue cap finish off his skater boy look. His eyes are that same strange green, looking out of place on his overly round and cutesy face. Elizabeth pushes away as she aims the flashlight at his eyes, blinding the bear as she quickly turns it on and off.
Freddy slumps over, falling to the ground as the green fades from his eyes. The loud thud of Freddy colliding with the floor causes Bonnie to rush over, Elizabeth aims and fires again. The rabbit collapses as well, falling on top of Freddy. Elizabeth breathes out heavy pants looking over the lifeless robots, before she can even get up though Chica is pulling her up from the ground. Her grip is tight, but Elizabeth manages to move her arm to flash her. The light leaves her eyes as she drops Elizabeth back to the ground before falling over herself. Elizabeth backs away as she continues to pant. Getting up off the floor she heads over the prize counter and towards the backstage yet again, checking the tablet one last time. It reads “One animatronic left, the marionette. Please deactivate.”
There is still a tenseness in the air as she reaches for the handle, it’s cold and sends a chill up her spine, but she slowly turns it, opening the door. As the door creeks open Elizabeth can feel her heart slow, her breathing stop as the dark of the room fills her vision. A jolt of pain is sent to head, before she can even register it she feels herself falling, her body hitting the floor as the flashlight rolls from her hand. The last thing she sees is a green light before it all goes black.
