After the “dating sim” special for 53rd season of “Danganronpa”, everyone was finally released and each participant went in own direction. Some of them didn't find love but they formed strong friendships, for example Amami and Saihara or K1B0 and Iruma. And there were a few expectations broken because some characters and their actors developed romances that were contradicting the killing game's personalities and plot.
Who would say that Akamatsu would start dating Shirogane though the former mastermind revealed the truth to her? Nobody knew who they were before the finished season began, the part about memory fabrication was something that really happened but participants agreed to this condition. They had to live with their game personalities and identities.
Akamatsu and Shirogane were having a lot of fun every time they were together, especially on events in which Shirogane was presenting her new costumes and Akamatsu was playing piano to create some atmosphere. Their duo was always stealing the scene, leaving the audience and jury silent.
While not participating in the contests, they were cosplaying. Of course Akamatsu wasn't as flawless as Shirogane but for her girlfriend was happy that they were just having good time together. Sometimes they were also playing piano. Shirogane was failing a lot because her mind was so focused on the closeness she has never experienced before she started dating Akamatsu.
“Let's cosplay my favorite Danganronpa pairing, pretty please?”
“Ahaha, you don't have to make those eyes, Tsumugi. You know I'll agree to that… Oh, what, who is your favorite couple? Not counting us, of course.”
Akamatsu scratched the back of her head. She felt embarrassed about not knowing such a thing about her girlfriend. Well, maybe that's because she didn't want to think to much about this weird TV show.
“Not counting my specialty of the former Super High School Class Cosplayer, I was always such a failure as a person so… eheheh… I'd love to cosplay Komaeda and Hinata with you being my Hinata.”
“Hey, you aren't a failure. It's not your fault you were pushed to the side. And, um… Sure. Hinata was that tsundere guy, right?”
“Yeah, that's him! I'm so happy you remember! And do you remember who was Komaeda?”
“That guy who hated despair so much that he wanted to end it in such a weird thing.”
“Oooh, Kaede. His character was more than it! Let me show you.”
“Well, every time you want to cosplay a couple you want to fix a canon interaction. What is it this time?”
“You'll see, honey. Now, let me give you a kiss~”
Shirogane took her glasses off and waited for Akamatsu to shut her eyes. She looked like she was the happiest person in the world because her girlfriend didn't reject the idea. Well, Akamatsu was agreeing for cosplay as various characters and she wasn't rejecting to play piano together. It seemed to be an ideal relationship, though it obviously wasn't.
After they had some fun fixing the scene Shirogane didn't like, they were laying in the bed under a warm blanket. Akamatsu could see why her beloved thought it was a wasted potential. If it was her, she would be disappointed as well. Just like she thought, trying to roleplay as Hinata was difficult as their personalities weren't compatible. They were on other sides of the spectrum.
“It was the hardest role for me to play.”
“But you made a perfect Hinata.”
“Really?”
“Yeah, he was perfect. At least for me, he he he.”
“You have your headcanons, don't you?”
“I do. Your Hinata was so sweet and caring, ahhh. I loved it.
Akamatsu had no idea what to say but she saw Shirogane doing her best, just like always.
“Anyway, I was missing your boobies all the time,” Shirogane added, chuckling.
“Hey, Hinata wasn't this flat. Sure, he is much flatter than me but hey,” Akamatsu said with a tone like she felt touched but then she laughed. “I love you.”
“I still don't believe I can say it… But I love you, too. Let's play piano tomorrow.”
“Yay, sure! Eheheheh~”
