Yumeko knew she wasn't the best at maintaining her relationships. She was a woman of moments, always chasing the thrilling feeling that made her body feel hot with excitement and her heart beat faster for the unknown. So when the feeling died down, she would just say goodbye and go to the next person.
That's why Suzui wasn't following her heels anymore, trying to keep her safe from whatever his little mind thought would hurt her. He realized she didn't care about the consequences if it made her feel something, and stopped acting like an owl mother.
She didn't miss his warnings about the gamblings and dangerous situations she was putting herself in, but if she needed to be honest, Jabami did miss his steady and relaxing presence.
Well, he was better away from her. At least Mary made it sound like he was.
Different from Ryouta, the Saotome was better at grasping Yumeko's way of thinking and acting — which sometimes wasn't really that good for them.
Like right now.
“I hope you are not thinking about doing something with Ririka." Mary said. Her lips were pressed in a displeased way, and her eyes were warning her about the danger that would come.
Jabami just feigned ignorance over her reaction.
“What are you talking about?” She let out a little giggle, acting carefree as if she didn't get what Saotome was referring to.
Yumeko could feel curious blue eyes over them, but she kept her gaze on her friend.
“I know how you are. Even worse, I know how she is.” Mary crossed her arms, looking very annoyed to have to talk about it. “She isn't like the others, she will fall for you and we both know nothing will come out of… whatever you are doing.”
Jabami just sighed.
“It's not like I haven't warned her, you know.” It was always better to be direct with Saotome, even if it hurts her to be honest. “I hate when I give false hopes to them.”
Mary nodded, knowing too well how easily Yumeko felt guilty over things and how even more easily she ignored her own feelings.
“Then I hope this time you are ready for when you break her heart.” Was the only thing the blonde could say. She knew her friend wasn't the only one looking for trouble and since both of them were stubborn, Saotome could just hope for the better. “Kirari is not going to take it lightly, neither am I.”
The dark haired girl just smiled sadly. She knew that Momobami had people who cared about her and she wasn't afraid of the consequences.
She never cared about what came tomorrow anyway.
