“Why do you humans drink this anyways?” Lachesis looking a mixture of bored and uninterested as Kyoka poured herself some coffee.

“Coffee helps you wake up. Plus some of us just like the taste too, that helps.”

Lachesis couldn't help but take note of Kyoka's smile as she sipped her coffee. How her food tasted was something Kyoka did value very much. And given how many all-nighters she pulled… The effects of caffeine were sure to be a bonus.

Kyoka put down her drink. “Not everyone drinks coffee though, Lache-chan. It's also a taste you gotta get acquired to.”

A taste you must acquire? Hmm. Lachesis couldn't help but be slightly intrigued by that.

“…Fine. I'll have some then.”

Kyoka’s eyes lit up as she pulled Lachesis a mug, carefully pouring it in. "Just be careful. It's hot."

She looked down into the drink, seeing her reflection inside the pool of dark brown. It was admittedly a rather beautiful color.

Taking a sip, she was surprised by how bitter it was. Shaking her head and blinking rapidly all while the taste coated her tongue.

Resting her head on her hand, Kyoka grinned. “You want some cream or sugar with that?”
