Work Text:
PART 1
“This isn’t exactly Wonderland,” Darcy stated, glancing around the forest they found themselves in. It was darker and creepier than she expected a real forest might be, and she could feel something was a bit off with it. She could practically feel the unease coming off the trees even from the middle of the path.
“Nor is it Oz,” Wanda agreed glancing down at the road, while it was tinted a little more with yellow leaves, the rest of the path was covered with reds and orange. “Are we in the right place?”
Darcy picked up a black notebook. “Yes.”
PART 2
They found signs of Agatha, Billy and the rest of the witches, but they don’t find them on the road.
“Maybe they completed it?” Darcy suggested as she tangled her hand with Wanda’s. She squeezed it in comfort. “Maybe they’re home by now.”
“Except for Sharon Davis. This is my fault.” Wanda stated closing her eyes, tears leaking out, as she thought about the kind-hearted neighbor that died.
Darcy pulled Wanda into a hug, kissing her briefly before leaning her forehead against Wanda’s.
“I mean, this isn’t exactly your fault Wanda. Agatha took them on this journey. We’ll find Billy.”
PART 3
They didn’t expect to find Agatha dead in her yard, but they do. There were obvious signs of a battle, and somehow one of the strongest witches was dead.
“Who killed Agatha?” Darcy wondered out loud, glancing around as if she could find a clue. None of the neighbors knew they were they were here, and she had a feeling they weren’t going to be welcoming to Wanda if they made themselves known. She doubted even they’d even be welcoming to her, as member of S.W.O.R.D. and Wanda’s girlfriend.
“I don’t know, but I think Billy made it out alive.”
THE END.
