Night Out

Summary:

Madelyne arrives on Genosha, and Emma takes her out.

Notes:

Written for the community xmen100 prompt "dawn", the community xmen15 prompt "night", and for the community uc_xmen drabble-a-thon prompt "X-Men '97 - Madelyne/Emma - night out". Okay so this is the first time in a VERY long time writing X-Men (or in general actually), so I'm a little rusty. Also I might make more of this when I'm less tired because this pairing is really calling to me lately.

Work Text:

PART 1

“Oh sweetie, you need a night out,” Emma Frost with a frown after listening to clone of Jean Grey tell them her story. Just listening to it, made Emma want hug the poor woman and she didn’t actually like the actual Jean Grey. Granted, she wasn’t fond of any of the X-Men, but for something like this happen to someone was horrible. She wasn’t sure how Madelyne Pryor was dealing with all this, but she definitely deserved a night out, a drink, and maybe party till dawn. “I know just the place for us.”

“I don’t-”

“Oh but you will.”

PART 2

Madelyne Pryor stared at Emma Frost in surprise, but a slow smile appeared on her lips as she realized Emma was indeed serious and said with a laugh, “I could do for another drink or two.” If anyone had told her that she would be hanging out till dawn with Emma Frost aka the White Queen of the Hellfire Club that lead her – or Jean Grey – into becoming the Dark Phoenix, she’d think them crazy. But since coming to this Genosha – a paradise for mutants, Madelyne couldn’t help but feel real hope again since Bishop took Nathan into the future.

Part 3

Neither partying until dawn personally nor a memory gleaned from Jean Grey was something Madelyne had done before, and she loved all of it. Knowing that this experience was solely hers was exactly what she needed and wanted. She never expected to be willing to spending the night with Emma, nor did she expect to have loved every minute of it. Even if her head was spinning right now as she woke to a hangover.

Lips brushed against her forehead, and Madelyne’s eyes opened with surprise. Emma Frost smirked, “Don’t worry, darling, we have just the cure for a hangover.”
