Work Text:
Annoyed, Teruko left the playground and went looking for Eden. She didn't need to go far as she could hear someone crying in the screening room – nobody wasn't going there on purpose outside of MonoTV's motive announcement, unless you were Veronika and Teruko assumed that it couldn't be her – why would Veronika be even crying?
Instead of going inside once she was in the front of the door, she did a detour to her dorm to grab a bottle of water and then went back to the screening room. Maybe taking all of those bottles from the gym wasn't the best idea after all – but then again, she couldn't see that even taking place.
She pushed the door and walked around for a moment to finally find Eden sitting on the floor hiding her head in her arms. Teruko sat down next to her and put her jacket over Eden's shoulders, offering her a bottle of water.
“Here, have some water.”
Eden wiped her face with her hand, taking the bottle from Teruko.
“I knew you would come to me…”
“You're reading too much into this.” Teruko was obviously lying, but it wasn't lying to someone else. She was lying to herself. She was trying to avoid getting attached to someone, but she still did it. It would be a lie if she said she didn't have feelings to Eden.
Why in the world would she go try to find her and offer her some comfort if she really didn't care about her?
“No matter how much you wouldn't try to say otherwise… You're capable of doing good things, Teruko.”
Teruko avoided looking at Eden, trying to hide the fact she blushed at Eden's comment.
“Shut up. Just… Drink that water.” She stood up and was about to go, but Eden stopped her and dragged back to sitting, resting her head on her chest.
“Don't go… Yet, please. You don't have anything to do, do you? Please, stay with me for a while.”
Teruko mumbled something to herself, attempting to show her being annoyed, but it seemed to not really work on Eden. Also, that warmth of another person's body was quite nice.
“Ok, ok, but don't try telling me again that entire bullshit about kindness.”
