Teruko lay down on the bed and let herself rest her head against Eden's lap. Her whole work to distance herself from the rest of the group went to fuck itself. She couldn't stand isolating herself any longer. Even if she had to rely on herself for the whole life and was used to it, she couldn't keep doing it forever.
Especially not when someone like Eden was there. She was scared of getting attached to anyone after she got betrayed by Xander and Min, and for the first one specifically, but Eden was too stubborn to let go of her and she gave up on avoiding her eventually.
She could feel Eden stroking her face gently. It was a weird feeling as she was still wearing her gloves, but it also was nice. It was the first time someone just was there for her, and not wanting anything in return, or trying to take advantage of her.
Eden was there for her when nobody else was. She defended her when everyone else was accusing her of murder. And she was working really hard to include her in fun activities, even if she was trying to avoid her.
She sighed and pressed her cheek to Eden's stomach, wrapping her hands around her waist.
She didn't want to get close to Eden, because she was so kind and compassionate. Sure, Eden wasn't the only kind person in there, but it felt differently when it was coming from her.
Whit, Hu, Levi. Damn, she didn't want to admit it, but David was a kind person, too. But there was something making Eden's kindness towards her different.
She knew what it was and she couldn't keep repressing it anymore. It hit her too hard for her to be capable to continue pretending like it was nothing.
She felt her cheeks burn and her heart skipped a beat.
She felt like a total idiot.
When did she fall for her?
