Work Text:
Arei sneaked behind Eden's back and wrapped her arms around her, holding her tight. If she was a little bit taller, then maybe she would rest her chin on the top of her head.
At first, Eden wanted to shout and try to escape, but then she noticed it was Arei, so she calmed down.
“It's a date, Eden. And I'm not accepting any excuses you'd make up out of thin air,” Arei said. She obviously knew of Eden's “secret” and it was pretty easy for her to guess she was into her by just noticing the way she was looking at her.
Eden was clearly surprised by Arei's behavior, considering the way she was acting way earlier, but there was no reason for her to just refuse, right?
She could feel it that Arei was just deeply wounded and lonely, and probably has never known how it is to experience kindness.
Before she could ask any question where she was going to take her, she led her to the playground.
“Eden, you know… All my life I only knew being hurt. Everyone was hostile and I had to fight back. But now it's different, right?”
Arei noticed Eden opening her mouth to say something, but she cut her off with a kiss. She didn't tell her who made her rethink her actions and encouraged to open herself to Eden. She thought it wasn't relevant unless Eden would ask her about it.
