Work Text:
Sora lay down the bed. It really did take a while to arrive to the fifth island and they would be all doomed if there weren't any transportation means other than walking.
The situation was much more chaotic than anyone could expect it to be.
To it, she was feeling like her body sometimes wasn't her body at all. At specific moments, it was like she was sitting on the passenger's seat and someone else was controlling it.
Her hand moved to her cheek, stroking it gently.
It didn't feel like it was her touching herself. She could feel someone being there beside her and that person cared about her a lot.
She could hear someone's voice talking to her.
“So, you finally noticed me, Sora?”
She wasn't scared.
Hearing that person brought some sort of comfort to her. She just nodded, not knowing if it was even any answer.
With a corner of her eye, she was able to see someone.
Any other person would probably just run away or think it was just their imagination, but she didn't.
She closed her eyes instead, breathing steadily.
There was no reason to run away or say it was just her imagining stuff.
Her arms wrapped around her, what brought a sensation of someone else's warmth, even if she was alone in the room. It made her smile a little.
She found herself in a cozy living room with a cup of tea and a plate of cookies in front of her. And next to her was sitting a girl that looked similarly to her, but her hair was brown and was wearing an incomplete maid uniform.
The girl was smiling warmly at her and holding her hand. Sora didn't see a reason to take her hand away. It was feeling right.
Everything was fine, until she tried to call her by her name.
“Your name… Ah, my head…!”
She knew it, but something was blocking her from retrieving the information from her memory and caused a headache.
The girl instead of getting sad or mad at her, pulled her into a hug, stroking her hair.
“Here… It's okay. Don't worry.”
Sora returned the embrace without any second thought and rested her head against the other girl's shoulder, closing her eyes.
She was feeling safe.
