Work Text:
That morning, Susan opened her letter box without her usual enthusiasm. She sighed when she saw a letter that didn't seem to have been delivered by the postman. She hesitated for a few seconds, wondering if she should throw it away or pretend she hadn't seen it, before grabbing it. A while ago, Edie and her had started to let their relationship develop into something that was more than friendship. They hadn't told their friends yet, which kept them from being opened about it, so Susan had the wonderful idea of exchanging letters when they couldn't see each other. She got the idea after watching a movie with Julie and had shared it with Edie right away. She hadn't expected her to agree, but she was surprisingly fine with it.
She thought the idea was quite adorable. However, exchanging letters was probably the stupidest idea she'd ever had. What did she expect? She was talking about Edie Britt, of course she wouldn't send her sweet letters or scandalous poems all day long.
She finally opened the letter.
Take your disgusting rose bushes out of your garden, they make me sick.
Love,
Edie.
Yes, exchanging letters had been a terrible idea.
