Umi had always adored Honoka. While she hardly dared to try out new things for fear of failing, Honoka only listened to her heart and never hesitated to take the first step. This was something Umi admired about her. So when her friend had declared her desire to become a school idol to prevent their school from closing, Umi had not been surprised. Puzzled, yes, but it was an idea worthy of Honoka.
And as she watched Honoka's smile and her tears after their first show, Umi realised that the warmth she felt was caused by something deeper than admiration.
