“I'll be back in just one year.”
Kotori took Rin in her arms, hoping to stop her girlfriend's tears. She knew that her departure would be painful, but she hadn't thought that she would be this torn up at the thought of not seeing her for so long. Rin may have been the one who had encouraged her to study abroad, but she seemed to be as devastated as she was.
“It'll pass quickly and then I won't leave ever again.”
“You promise?” Rin asked.
Kotori wanted to kiss her so badly, but she couldn't, not in public.
“I promise.”
