Umi put the curling iron back on her desk and watched as the strand of hair fell back over her shoulder, still straight. No matter how hard she tried to curl her hair, she couldn't change its shape.
She heard a laugh behind her and turned to glare (though she knew she was blushing) at Kotori, who was trying to hide behind her magazine.
“Don't make fun of me...” she muttered.
“I'm not laughing," Kotori said as she laughed again when Umi started pouting. “Let me do it for you.”
Umi blushed even more, but she didn't refuse her help.
