Sumire couldn't always get along with Keke. It was always her fault, Sumire would say. Keke kept provoking her when she was just doing her best to make sure she could stay here in Japan, but she didn't seem to want to see how hard she was trying.
Still, there were those times when Keke relied on her, when she confided in her and hoped to be comforted by Sumire.
On those days, Sumire could appreciate the relationship she had with Keke. She could see how sincere their friendship was.
(And, one day, perhaps they would be more than friends.)
