When Shiki suddenly stumbled during a training session and fell into the arms of Mei who had rushed to catch her, the rest of the group froze. Then, suddenly, Chisato whistled and Natsumi laughed loudly.
“It was an accident!” Mei explained. “I just caught her!”
Shiki stared at her friend for a long moment before wrapping her arms around her neck, her face still impassive as ever.
“Accidents don't happen by accident.”
Mei's face turned red.
“Do you know the definition of an accident?! You're being stupid!”
Yet, despite her embarrassment, Mei continued to hold her so she wouldn't fall.
