Work Text:
Up to that point, this reset had gone well - she'd been able to convince Juri Ma to stay with the class, and even Rina Song had come back after only one short zombie-smashing excursion. Up to this point... and now she was stuck on nightwatch with the person she least wanted to be alone with. Seyeong. Stalker. Yandere. Rumor-monger. Stabber and back-stabber. Obsessed girl in love.
Don't turn your back on her, Chaerin reminded herself. She wasn't as clueless as the original protagonist, and the experiences she'd gathered in previous runs certainly helped, but when it came to the crazy-eyed, green haired girl, it was better to be careful. Taking her own advice, Chaerin settled down with her back to the wall, listening with one ear for possibly approaching zombies. Most of her attention, she kept on Seyeong, but without letting on.
Seyeong was smiling at her, face flushed and eyes wide. "I've been hoping for a chance to get to know you more closely," Seyeong whispered, quiet enough not to wake any of their classmates. The smile that accompanied these words was rather worrisome.
I need her to cooperate, Chaerin reminded herself. The whole class needs to work together if they ever wanted to get out of the school, let alone break this timeloop she was stuck in. "Same," Chaerin replied, forcing herself to smile.
"I wish you hadn't cut your hair," Seyeong continued, breath already going faster, "I've been dreaming about touching your pink, luxurious tresses. I could just run my fingers through smooth wave after wave of gorgeous pink hair."
"Uh, thanks." Chaerin bit her lip. She wasn't sure she wanted to encourage that kind of talk this early in the night... they still had hours to go, and she wasn't sure she could slow Seyeong down without antagonizing her.
Seyeong leaned closer, her hand coming up to brush lightly over Chaerin's unevenly cut hair. "So pretty," Seyeong whispered, the sound almost a moan. "Pretty~"
