She isn't Ace or Tegan or Mel. There is no moving on from the Doctor or creating a new life in the hopes the emptiness goes away. She isn't Graham or Ryan who were desperate to return to normality, found they missed the strange, the wonderful and dangerous, and recreated it on Earth.
Yaz does try. She tried at UNIT, she tried at the support group and then went off on her own and tried some more. But nothing worked. She kept waiting for the Doctor, her Doctor to come back. Yaz knew it was impossible, she couldn't come back.
