Work Text:
A tingling on her forearm woke Ginny. She groaned and rolled over, but soon felt another message scrawling across her skin. Her soulmate was determined this morning.
Rise and shine! pulsed on her arm like an unread message on one of her dad's Muggle mobile devices.
I thought we were doing a lazy weekend Ginny wrote.
Meet me at the gate was the cryptic reply.
Ginny wandered to the garden gate, still rubbing sleep from her eyes. Luna was waiting with a picnic basket.
"What's all this for?"
"It's a beautiful day! Isn't that reason enough?" Luna entwined her fingers with Ginny's.
They walked a winding path lined with lilies and foxgloves. The summer sunlight dappled the leaves and cast them in patterned shadows.
"Do you forgive me for dragging you out of bed?" Luna asked when they were lounging on a blanket eating their brunch.
"Mm. This is perfect. Lazy but beautiful."
Luna nodded smugly and closed her eyes. Ginny sensed her breathing slowing and deepening.
I love you she wrote on her arm. She watched the message unfurl on her soulmate. Luna's eyes fluttered. She saw the love blooming on her skin, nuzzled closer to Ginny, and smiled.
