Summary:
The day that it happens, Mercymorn breaks her favorite coffee mug.
It’s frankly, an absurd detail to focus on, but it sticks inside her mind for centuries, nevertheless. Her world shatters apart, and her favorite sunflower yellow mug cracks and splinters into clay shards.
The color yellow still makes her queasy, millennia later.
