Work Text:
There was a sound of a page being turned over amidst the silence. It caught the fragile attention of her brown eyes, making her look over to her side. While Vivi was having trouble concentrating on her paper, Robin was focused on the book she was reading. It was quite beautiful, the way she was so concentrated on the words that it made her brows furrow a little. The rest of her face was pretty relaxed, unguarded, whilst she was gaining knowledge about a not-so well known island.
The princess couldn’t stop staring at the older woman after she started it. Nico’s expression, though not much different from usual, seemed somewhat vulnerable; how could she not try to print this image on her mind? Observing her at that moment, Vivi felt like she could unravel her in the same way that Robin translated the ancient language in the poneglyphs.
There was a slight tilt upward on the corner of her lips, showing how satisfied she was with the contents inside the book. The palm that held her cheek, sustaining her face while her attention was on the words in the pages, savoring each one of them while saving the new input on her mind. The little glint on her gray irises, that appeared from time to time, probably on the parts she didn’t know all that well and wanted to approfound more. The slow and deliberate mode that Robin turned a page, as if she wanted to appreciate the most she could while reading…
“If you keep staring me up I might get the wrong idea, Miss. Princess.” Vivi felt her cheeks burn a little at the comment, but she didn’t stop looking at the other.
“And what might this wrong idea be?” She dared to ask, wanting to know what this adventurous question could lead her. Her brown eyes saw the moment that Nico irises left the page she was reading, seizing her in an unclear path. There was the lifting of one eyebrow, before she heard the sweet call of a mermaid:
“Why don’t you come closer and find it out?”
And, like the great explorer she actually wasn't, she dove into the ocean of Robin’s lips and tasted the citric flavor of being alive in her tongue. It was quite an experience, one that she didn't shy away from repeating again and again and again.
There was no better place to discover than the pretty mysterious mouth of another woman. And the one Nico has? Was full of secrets.
