MCU15, a fanfiction challenge community at dreamwidth for fanfiction from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This community is for people who've always wanted to complete a fanfiction table, but found 100, 50 or 25 stories to be too much.

Q: What can I claim?
A: Anything Marvel Cinematic Universe related! You could claim a certain film or show, a pairing, a character, a team, a place, a crossover, etc - WHATEVER!

Q: If I make a claim, does that mean I stick to ____ for the whole table?
A: When you claim say YELENA then each fanfic you write it must feature her in the story... she doesn't have to the main character, but she should be one of the central characters in it.
- If you choose a pairing the same thing applies, they don't have to be the main pairing or anything but both characters should be characters in the story. If they happen to be with two different people or are just friends in the story, then that's fine.
- If you claim a "general", again the same thing applies even though you're dealing with a more general area to work with... so you should have no problems. As long as whatever you claim has been featured in that storyline/group (even if it was just one issue or something) & if your pairing isn't canon, then still make sure both characters are from that storyline/group.

Q: How long to the fanfics have to be?
A: While there is no maximum word count, there should be AT LEAST 100 words... if you have like 98 or 99 then that's fine, honestly I'm not actually checking and I won't make you rewrite what you wrote. This is literally just to help people focus on writing more MCU fanfiction.

Q: Is there a deadline?
A: No, there is no deadline. If I happen to notice your table or your name disappear/deleted, I'll move your name/table to another post. If you ever come back, simply let me know the updated info and I'll set you back on the main Claimed List.

Q: Do you have to do the prompts in order, or can you skip around?
A: You can skip around, of course. HAVE FUN WITH IT.

Q: Does the pairing have to be strictly canonical?
A: Nope! Say you like Darcy and Jane together... then you can write it! Anything goes, het, slash or femslash as well.

Q: May I claim original characters?
A: No... sorry but since MCU is a large enough universe to not need a original character... but you may have an original character in your fanfic.

Q: Can I create my own table? Or switch out a prompt for another?
A: Sure! Since this is all about adding more MCU fanfiction, I'll take any suggestions you guys think of. And if your honestly stuck on a pre-established prompt table, feel free to switch it up by looking at the other tables or use a Writer's Choice option. What will you pick?

Q: When may I begin posting?
A: As soon as you submit your comment, if I don't get to you right away, feel free to start posting your fics to the community and I'll add your tags later.

Q: Is there a limit as to how many stories I may post at a time?
A: Nope! You can post all 15 at one time if you want.

Q: Does the prompt word have to appear in the story?
A: Nope! Nor does it have to be the more usual meaning of the word. Let your imagination run riot. Just make sure that the theme does appear in the story, however loosely.

Q: May I use previously written and posted stories?
A: Preferably no. But if must - you may use up to one previous written and posted stories. However, I'm not going to spend time checking your AO3 & other communities, websites, etc.

Q: May I post my stories elsewhere?
A: Yes, they are your stories. You may post them wherever you wish to. I highly encourage other dreamwidth communities, Archive of Our Own, SquidgeWorld, and Sunset but wherever you prefer!

Q: Are crossovers allowed?
A: Of course they are! I personally love crossovers, so I will of course accept them here!

1. Check out the prompt tables here and make your claim here. There is no limit to the number of people who can claim one subject at a time nor how many claims you can make. Don't forget to join the community after you make your claim.

2. Each fic does not have to include the prompt word. Prompts are just there to give you an idea. All stories must be at least 100 words long. After you finish a story, please post it here and anywhere else you'd like.
