It's definitely good to be more specific in some contexts, but as a broad/shorthand way of describing the site, I think femslash or femslash+ should be okay? There isn't really a term that means "everything except m/f and m/m". And, I mean, it's in the URL already. My understanding is that you set up the site to be mainly for f/f but allowed f/nb and nb/nb ships in order not to exclude ships that can be categorized as "sapphic"/"fit the theme" that are not strictly speaking f/f: I don't think you necessarily want to lose the focus on sapphicness when referring to the site in that case.

Regarding the incest issue ... when you suggest tagging it even if using Choose Not To Warn so people can filter it out, is this a suggestion or a Suggestion? By which I mean, is there the potential for it being treated as a policy violation not to tag incest (or any other archive warning) when using CNTW? Just asking because my understanding of CNTW from AO3 is that it means "understand that any of the required archive warnings may appear in here, and don't read this if you aren't okay with not knowing which if any are there", and tagging an archive warning plus CNTW seems to be a logical contradiction.

    1. Thanks so much. I think I'll edit the post to say that the femslash term will stay. It was something I had the same opinions on, but I wasn't entirely sure so I decided to ask the community.

Also, yeah, that slipped right past me :') No, it won't be treated as a policy violation. Your understanding of CNTW is the one we will be using. I guess the logical contradiction didn't dawn on me enough.

      Thank you!
